Climate Skills Training: Canvass Greenpoint to Stop National Grid

  • McGolrick Park Russell St. And Driggs Ave. NY, 11222 United States (map)

Join Us for a Neighborhood Canvassing Workshop! RSVP here

Our first training was successful: learning how to canvass in a public space. This time, we will learn how to door-knock the do's and don'ts to confidently provide much-needed information to the community since National Grid has not bothered to communicate with the neighborhood affected by its massive LNG (Liquefied Fracked Gas) facility.

Greenpoint residents, we're looking for people like YOU to join the No North Brooklyn Pipeline Alliance, a team of passionate volunteers working locally for climate justice to help spread the word, starting Monday, 9/23, in Greenpoint.

At our upcoming workshop, led by Laura Shindell from Food and Water Watch, New York, you'll learn all the essential skills needed to effectively canvass the neighborhood and educate our neighbors about the recent National Grid bill increases and their connection to fossil fuel expansion at the Greenpoint fracked gas depot. We'll discuss solutions on the horizon and our vision for the future of the 120-acre site. Let's get out there and #StopNatGrid together!

No prior experience is required, and we'll provide all the training and support you need to make a real impact. Together, we can raise awareness and bring positive change to our city.

Join us in the movement to create a sustainable and just environment and economy for all!
